Hi! My name is from Jordan and I’m from the Dallas, Texas area. I just completed my freshman year of college at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas, and I absolutely LOVE it there!  It’s the first time I’ve ever really experienced seasons…we don’t get much of anything besides hot, warm, and then random bouts of cold weather during the supposed ‘winter’ season, so that’s been fun.  Also, apparently not everyone buys their own trees and has them planted in their yard—they just sprout up everywhere on their own.  It’s been a year of fun new experiences like that :)  I’ve gone back and forth from a Music major (I play piano) and English major a couple of times this year, but I think I’ve finally decided to stay a music major with an English minor.  I think. 

I have no real plans for what I want to do with the rest of my life. I know that God has called me to the mission field in some form or fashion, but I’ve stopped trying to guess what the rest of my life is going to hold.  Every time I think I’m getting it figured out, He throws something else in the mix that puts me in a completely different direction, so I’m trying to just let my plans go and be along for the ride. 

Missions have been a big part of my life ever since high school.  I went to a Christian high school that gave us the opportunity to go on trips every year, and so between that and my church and a few other organizations I’ve been to Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Chicago, San Diego, and then places around the Dallas area.  Last time in Guatemala, I absolutely fell in love and had a feeling that I would be back one day, and I’m so so so thankful that God’s allowing me to return so quickly!

Random facts: I have a legit phobia of fruit…every single fruit except for lemons and tomatoes.  I’ve been this way since I was three, and I have no idea why.  Also, I am legally blind without contacts in or glasses on.  I used to be a hardcore Twilight fan…but no worries.  I’ve been clean for over a year now.  And then despite being a music major, I am still tone deaf.  I can not sing.  But I love to sing…so I apologize in advance :)

My favorite shows are The Bachelor(ette), So You Think You Can Dance, How I met your Mother, and The Office. I could live off Sushi for the rest of my life, and I just discovered this past year that I love hiking!  I do not like cats, rap music, or watching/listening to people brush their teeth. 

I am unbelievably excited about this next semester!  I love Guatemala, and I feel so blessed that God is bringing me back.  I’m excited to be stepping out of my comfort zone and into a deeper relationship with God by serving His children.  At the same time, leaving life behind right now also scares me.  Life is pretty comfortable right now, and I have people telling me that I’m crazy to willingly push that away to do something like this.  But at the same time, my life feels stagnant and suffocating with the way things are, and I’m ready to step out and watch God break us and remake us as a team, and then let us step back and watch Him do amazing things.  Can’t wait to meet ya’ll!!
