Hello everyone!

I'm Emily Richardson (https://www.facebook.com/smilepippen12). I would upload a picture but for some odd reason it's not letting me...

I hail from Warrenville, Illinois, one of the western suburbs of Chicago.

I just finished my second year at community college, and will be starting at a four year school in the spring semester after our return from Guatemala. The question of the major is yet to be determined, although it has been narrowed down to Creative Writing, Biblical Anthropology, and English Literature, with the plan to double major. I currently work at my cousin's toy warehouse, doing shipping and inventory.

I am a huge theater junkie, and have been involved in community theater since I was 8. I also play piano, sing, act, and dance.I love archery and go to the shooting range every week. I do a lot of arts and crafts, especially home decorating and scrapbooking. I loooove to read. 

I am not a fan of zucchini. I like to run around barefoot. I am currently growing my hair out because of the Disney movie Tangled (no, it's not going to be THAT long). I own two poison dart frogs named Rikku and Azul.

I'm actually going to two different churches right now, one on Saturday nights (Church of the Savior) and one on Sunday mornings (Resolution Church). Mainly this is because I do volunteer work at Resolution church and never get to really hear the message that often. I also do graphic work for Resolution. 

I've been on one mission trip before to China. It was with my family, and I was 10. It lasted only two weeks, but it was amazing. We went around teaching english in schools, and my sisters and I taught the other kids games like "simon says," "head, shoulders, knees, and toes." They in turn taught us fun games. We also spent time working at an orphanage called Home of Hope.

I really feel like God is calling me to do mission work, and I am excited to finally be getting the chance to do more of it! I'm a bit apprehensive about snakes, as this is my biggest physical fear. For some time now God has been pushing me in the serving and encouraging areas, and I hope that through this trip I can grow much more spiritually, and gain a better, closer relationship to Jesus.
