Hey! I can’t exactly remember what we’re specifically supposed to include in this bio so I’m just gonna tell you a little bit about myself... my name is Abby Naeher but my friends call me Abs, or sometimes baby cause abby rearranged can spell baby. I’m nineteen years old and I’m from Seymour, Connecticut. I just finished my freshman year at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and I absolutely loved it! I’m a nutrition major; I’m pretty much just a huge health nut (except when it comes to ice cream, mint chocolate chip ice cream is my favorite food). Whole foods is my favorite store in the whole world, I could spend hours in there walking around reading nutrition facts and ingredients. I’m introverted and when I need to be alone that’s my go too activity when it’s not nice outside for running.  I love playing sports! In high school I ran cross-country and played soccer for a couple years, also I played basketball and tennis for all four years. My school didn’t have a swim team so I never swam competitively but I love swimming. I pretty much love any kind of physical or outdoor activity, hiking and biking are great, I just love being outside more then anything else. I love doing things like picture collages and scrapbooking but I’m horrible at art. I absolutely love cooking and baking, island cookies are my favorite to make. I am totally addicted to coffee, but only iced coffee, I don’t actually like hot coffee very much at all.  Coconut iced coffee is my favorite. I hate wearing shoes, if I could be barefoot all the time I would be. I love country music and really chill music. I don’t know if y’all have ever heard of Matt Wertz (he’s in my profile picture J), Dave Barnes, or Ben Rector, but they’re what I mean by chill music, they’re great. I have two older sisters who are twenty-three, they’re twins, their names are Amanda and Alyssa. I’m really close to my sisters and my parents but I’m pretty independent so I’m not too worried about being so far for three months. Samford is like 20 hours from my house so I can’t go home during semesters, obviously Guatemala is a lot farther then Alabama haha but I don’t think I’ll be too homesick. I have a boyfriend named Matt that I’ve been dating for a year, he’s wonderful. I am going to miss him a lot in Guatemala, but we’ve been doing the whole long distance thing for the past two semesters so I’m not too worried about that either. There are two things I’m most nervous for Guatemala: 1. The food. I know that sounds dumb but I’m a horribly picky eater, so I’,m just hoping I can learn to branch out and try new things. 2. The language barrier. I took three years of Spanish in high school but I was not good at it and don’t really remember it. But nevertheless I am SO excited about this trip! It was such a God thing that I am going and I am so excited to see what he has in store for all of us!
